Our top 15 face masks for video gamers
As customised face masks become more and more popular, designers everywhere – including us – have been trying to come up with loads of cool ideas that allow people to express their identities and passions in a brand new way.
One of those passions is, of course, video gaming. As we’ve all been locked away in our homes, the video gaming community has not only survived, but thrived. Games such as Fortnite and Call of Duty: Warzone have further increased interest in this awesome culture, and we’ve enjoyed designing some great video gaming themed face masks, and we’ve also been thrilled to search out our favourite designs from other third parties. We present them all to you below.
We hope you find something that you really click with!
As a quick disclaimer, these masks are not designed for those on the front line, and should not be considered approved PPE. If you’re a first responder or someone who has been advised to wear a medical mask, you should stick to approved PPE. Additionally, these masks should be used in conjunction with existing advice surrounding pandemics, including social distancing.
Here are our favourite face masks for video gamers.
Alex Kidd
Games don’t get much more retro than Alex Kidd in Miracle World, that came bundled on the Master System console for most. If you’re old enough to remember this absolute classic (and we just about are) then you’ll certainly look back fondly at the hours spent venturing on pixelated adventures and, of course, endless paper scissors stone games.
Space Invaders
Lots of choice for retro video gamers here, and now we’re looking over our shoulders to the 1970s and arcade classic Space Invaders, perhaps one of the best known games from the time.
Can’t. Busy
For when video gaming takes priority over everything else. Everything. Else.
GoldenEye Health
The health bars from the 1990s Nintendo game GoldenEye are perhaps amongst the most recognisable health bars in the video gaming world, and something that any video gamer old enough will instantly recognise. It’s certainly a novel way to tell people that you’re okay. Now let’s just hope you don’t run into a bunch of USSR Soviet soldiers rocking AK47’s and put that health at risk.
I Don’t Age
I don’t age. I level up. A great birthday face mask for any video gamer who would rather level up their experience and stamina than become a year older.
Achievement Unlocked
Actually having leave your gaming rig and go outside into the real world can be a challenge. Or at the very least, an irritant. But alas, sometimes even the hardcorest of video gamers need to venture out into the outside, and this is the perfect face mask to do it with.
Display Driver Has Stopped Working
Most PC gamers will have experienced a graphics driver error once in a while. And those annoying errors are the inspiration to this face mask design, which sadly cannot be displayed because of a graphics driver crash!
Let’s Settle This Like Adults
There is only one way to settle a disagreement like adults. Retro video gaming. Controllers at the ready.
Spent Quarantine in the Gulag
Forget retro gaming; the game of the moment is Warzone and it’s incredible Battle Royale gameplay that is all the rage right now. If you’ve been spending much of the COVID-19 lockdown in the gulag, then this may be the mask for you.
